Protecting the Rights of the Injured for More than 40 Years

Brain injuries affect the entire person, not just the body

Last week, we discussed some of the effects of brain injuries. If you recall, those effects can be long lasting, life altering and very serious. What some of our readers might not realize is that the effects of a brain injury aren't always apparent right away. In some cases, the effects of the injury might not show up for weeks or months after the injury occurs. That can make life even more challenging after a brain injury.

There are a lot of different things that can cause a brain injury. Lack of oxygen, a hit to the head or a jostling force are some of the possible causes. Some of these might be caused by a motor vehicle accident, a surgical error or medical malpractice. In each of those cases, it is important to know that you have the right to seek compensation from the party that caused the injury.

We know that physical injuries because of a brain injury might be some of the most apparent injuries; however, those aren't the only injuries. It is possible for a person with a brain injury to suffer from emotional trauma as a result of the injury. Emotional trauma can affect not only the victim, but also those who are close to the victim.

Another aspect of life that is affected by a brain injury is the financial aspect. Medical care for brain injuries is costly. In some cases, the victim might be unable to work, which can further compound the financial difficulty.

We want you to know that we will fight for the compensation you deserve. We can help you build your case and work toward seeking the compensation you deserve.
